Spotted : Today, while driving on Hwy#3 heading toward Leamington, a light MINT coloured SMART CAR turned right in front of us never realizing we were on coming, due to 2 vehicles in the turning lane that blocked their view.
Please don't take chances with your lives or other people's lives! Don't turn unless you KNOW it is safe to do so!
If you know someone who may own this vehicle, please pass this important message on. Today, my daughter, myself and definitely this person could have all easily been a statistic on that Hwy.

Spotted : A big shout out goes out to Fletchers Cleaners for going above and beyond to help our daughter Nicole out of a mess with a bridesmaid that was hemmed 1 1/ 2 inches too long by someone out of the area, the wedding was in 3 day's , she called Maureen about 5 minutes before closing, she was told to bring the dress in with the amount inches to be hemmed up and she would have done on Friday one day before the wedding, and the miracle happend she came through. You were able to put a smile on her face on the wedding day. Small buisness at it's best, thank you so much Maureen and Jeff.

Spotted : I wanted to thank whoever turned in my iPad, it's black zip case and the contents under the flap. It occurred Friday December 4th in the afternoon at Canadian Tire in Essex. My local store was out of stock on the item I wanted, so I made the trip to Essex. I was chatting with the cashier at the time, noticed I was running late, and in my rush I left my iPad, case and gloves after grabbing my purse. Thank you so much mystery person. The iPad is old, but has all my grandkids photos, photos of my deceased father who I love dearly and my appointments scheduled for the next few months. I was told when I called that a customer found it and turned it in.
Still so many honest people today! Thanks again.
l can't thank you enough. So happy to have it back. Bless you for your honesty and may you have a wonderful Christmas.

Spotted : Both the Leaminton OPP and Martin Varela, Chair of the Migrant Worker Community Program, got together this afternoon to create a video in English and Spanish especially for agricultural workers. This came in an effort to create more awareness in as many Spanish speaking agricultural workers as possible and to help them to comply with the provincial orders in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. Spotted : To the officer that attended my daughter's fender bender today, had a big heart! My daughter's phone was almost dead, the officer let her use their phone to keep in contact with us. She planned on driving it home but with the damage and strong winds, and less than 7% battery on her phone, the officer insisted the vehicle be towed so she can get home safely to her loved ones. Twin Oaks Towing was quick and a little bonus, the tow truck driver had a charger for her phone, lol. He dropped her vehicle off at the Dr, and then gave her a ride home!! Crappy to have the mini accident, awesome service from great people from Windsor to home! And not to mention, the guy she hit was very understanding as they waited for the police they almost seen 3 more fender benders in the same spot.

Spotted : Today October 8th I had my black jeep parked on mill street in between Victoria south and wigle. When I came out I noticed visible damage to the driver side rear panel, the paint from the other vehicle was white and still on my jeep. If anyone saw anything please report it to police because I will be searching every day till I find a white vehicle with rear end damage and potential black paint

Spotted : During my grandpa's final hours (Bill Abbott) on Saturday Sept 28 I wanted to give a shout out to the emergency team at Erie Shores Health Care Leamington for their caring and compassionate service. They deserve the recognition, thank you. A bigger shout out to the nurse who took care of him during the day, I believe her shift started at 7 am. I didn't quite get her name. But I do know that the compassion and care that she gave needs to be recognized, not only for him but for us. She offered us warm blankets etc not only checked in on him but us as well to see if we needed anything. Whenever I thought he needed something because he was uncomfortable she was there right away to assist. She made the circumstances more comfortable for us. A sincere thank you to her, a profession like that isn't easy, you did an amazing job.

Spotted : Today I was in Dr. F's waiting room on the 3rd floor. I was really nervous that I would need to have a procedure done today. I started to get a little teary eyed thinking about it and this wonderful lady told me that it would be okay. She even came over and consoled me after the tears would not stop. I just want to say thank you for your kindness and assuring me that I would be just fine. It was just like my Grandma who has passed on was there with me. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name but if you read this you'll never know how special that was for me to feel like I had a grandmother's love after not being able to hug my own for 10 years. You are a such a wonderful person thanks for being my honorary Grandma for the day you helped me more than you'll ever know!

Kindness of strangers

Spotted : I'd like to thank the two gentlemen who stopped to thank my daughter today. She was driving through a construction zone and had to go on the shoulder for part of it. She hit a soft spot and her front end slipped down a small slope. The first gentleman immediately pulled over to see that she was okay and was going to stay with her until I got there. As I was on my way she called back to let me know another gentleman had stopped with a pickup truck and a strap and pulled her car back up to the road. I wish she had got their names so I can thank them personally so I hope they see this.

Spotted : Started with a phone call to 911 all because wifey thought she could do it on her own NOT. First responder were awesome to my wife who was having chest pain and shortness of breath, they not only treated her with the greatest respect, as my wife tells me later they not only took the time with her, but they also were very gentle trying to get an IV into her arm and they just couldn't find a vain even though the driver pulled over twice.
Now unto the ER room the nurses and Dr took the time to ask her all the questions while they waited for me and a friend Sara to get there. They were awesome all of them. Then unto her room they take her to 2nd floor and got her all settled for the night. Through all this because they took the time with her and asked all kind of guestions making her feel she was the most important patient my deepest gratitude to all the nurses at Leamington Hospital. You may be a small hospital but to us you are one of the best in the county for us old folks. So we want to say thank you all for your kindness and patience you have shown us, but to any of us who have to go to your ER for any reason. Blessing to all of you, may God continue in all your lives and watch over you all

Spotted : I would like to bring attention to dog owners & pet caretakers, that if you know your dog has been aggressive with other dogs then they shouldn't be taken to the dog park and especially released off their leash! This is total irresponsibility. My daughter took her 8 mth old dog to the park and the pup was attacked viciously. The woman was watching this aggressive dog for her son. I would like to Thank her for quickly running away without giving her name or contact number. We don't need you to pay the Vet bill, we just hope you sleep well tonight.

Spotted : On our way back from Tilbury going towards Wheatley on our Harley Davidson this idiot was passing a car and was heading right at us. My life flashed before my eyes, I thought for sure this idiot was going to hit us head on. So if you are this idiot in a hurry to get some where and not caring about the lifes of others you have been spotted, and I hope the car that you passed got your license plate. Please people look twice before passing, watch out for motorcycles, we have families to go home to.
